[GIP-290] Paid Media Acquisition and Lender Referral Program

Summary

This proposal seeks GEAR DAO approval to:

• Authorise the Gearbox Foundation to run a three-month Paid Media Acquisition campaign.
• Authorise the Gearbox Foundation to launch a Lender Referral Program paying 25 bps on actual TVL brought in.

Motivation

With the launch of Gearbox’s lending and leverage markets for securities, the goal is now to create awareness and bring in TVL. The two most direct levers are paying for distribution and creating WoM for deposits.

Paid Media Acquisition

Gearbox will pay a media partner for placements, content integrations, educational content, and appearances that put Gearbox in front of capital allocators. The budget is fixed at $45,000 over three months.
